Referring Vet Information
The Animal Emergency Centre offers an overnight monitoring service for any of your hospitalised patients requiring observation or medication overnight.
To send your patient to AEC for overnight or weekend care:
Fill in our referral form and send your relevant clinical history for the patient to firstname.lastname@example.org. You are encouraged to call AEC from 6pm weeknights and any time on the weekends to discuss the case with the vet on duty before sending the patient.
Please send copies of all relevant diagnostics that have been done at your clinic with the owner (radiographs, bloods etc) or attached with the referral form.
Your client will need to bring the patient to AEC during our open hours (after 6pm on weeknights and any time during the weekend) and they will have a consultation with our veterinarian before being admitted into hospital.
An individualised estimate for your patient will be discussed and confirmed with the owner during the consultation on admission.
Patients will need to be collected by the owner before 8am Monday to Friday, for transfer back to your clinic.
VSG specialists are not available for treatment or consultation during AEC opening hours, however for unstable and urgent cases hospitalised overnight, we can arrange for direct transfer to the VSG team the following morning.
